Blue Glitter Nails

Hey girls!
Today I want to show you a different take on my Glitter Snow Nails.
This time I used a dark blue nail polish. All other things were the same.

Swatch on the nailwheel

This looks really great and sparkly! But it is a pain to get off as you can probably imagine. It is way more glitter than if you would just use a glitter nail polish.
Can't wait to try this with a black polish...:-)

Personalized Shower Gels

Hey everybody!

The christmas presents I gave to my friends were so cool that I just have to show you were you can make them.

Dm, a German drugstore, provides this service. Balea is a brand owned my dm. The service they provide are personalized Balea shower gels. By personalized I mean that you can create the sticker in the front of the bottle according to your liking.

On the website you are provided with some presets, like pictures, background clour, patterns and cliparts. You can also change the text which is on the lower picture. The reason I blurred the names is that they are personalized and contain the name of the corresponding friend.

The best part about this, is that you can use your own pictures. On the top I used a picture with their faces visible and on the bottom a picture from one of their latest vacation.

The girls were compeletely flabbergasted when they realized that their faces are on the bottles. Took them quite a while to grasp this...;-)
The quality of the pictures turned out great. I hope they stick to the bottle as well as the original label.

Here is the link to the website.

I think that's a great a idea for your friends. I love giving personalized presents!

As far as I know, this service is only available for customers in Germany.

Benefit - Hervana

Hey girls!

I finally have it! The newest blush from Benefit. It came today with the mail and immediately I had to make pictures and swatches. So here we go:

That was the packaging. Now for the content:

Normal daylight

In bright sunlight
In the pircture above I circled were the packaging already ripped. This kind of sucks, but you have to keep in mind that afterall the packaging is only made of paper.
In bright sunlight

In the bright sunlight pictures you can see that there is some glitter in the blush. However, if applied it is not as visible as in the Bella Bamba blush, which I find very glittery...

I swatched you the four clours seperately, just to show you.
When you use it, you swirl the brush in the blush and you get a nice powder pink colour.

I haven't worn it yet, but I'll keep you updated on how I like it.

New Years Eve Make up

Hi everyone!
As promised, here is my New Years Eve Make up.

I went for a really glittery eye and a dark blue eye shadow.

Here are the colours I used:

From the Sleek Storm palette I used the gold colour all over my lid. The I used the dark blue in my crease. As I found the blue a little bit too dark I used a blue from another palette. This one:

It is the Zoeva Ultra Shimmer Palette.
The blue really made the difference. I applied it over the dark blue and they mixed to a quite nice colour. On my lower lash line I applied this blue to the outer two thirds and to the inner third I applied the metallic dark green.

As I wanted to use my new essence crystalliced glitter froster, I had to think of a way to make it stick to my lid. Something like the glitter glue by too faced would have been perfect. But I don't own something like that. I ended up using a cream eye shadow by essence in the colour 'raise the curtain for...'.  I dipped a Q-tip in the glitter and dabbed it over the cream shadow.

I finished the look with an eye liner and lots of mascara. To make the look more smoky I also used a black kajal to line my upper and lower inner lash line.

For my cheeks I used a Sleek blush:

It is in the colour rose gold. As a highlighter I used the one from the essence circus, circus LE.

On my lips I wore a nude lip gloss by MNY.

One tip if you go for a bold eye with glitter: Apply your make up and concealer after you are finished with your eyes. The glitter will be everywhere and you can just take a make up wipe and wipe any fallout away without ruining your carefully applied foundation and concealer.

Hope you liked this little tutorial. If you have you New Years Eve Make up look on your blog, leave me a link in the comments below.
